Estate De Bedelaar
De Bedelaar is a 38-hectare estate located west of Haelen. The area consists of forests, fens, and open natural landscapes. Two distinctive ponds in the area are named Groote Bedelaar and Kleine Bedelaar. In addition to its natural beauty, Estate De Bedelaar is also known for the characteristic Owl Tower, built by the late Professor Eugène Dubois, and for an old legend associated with this place.
