St Elisabeth's Mill

St Elisabeth's Mill, once a proud symbol along the Leubeek, has had a long and eventful history. The mill was founded as early as 1240 by Dirk II van Altena in Roggel. In 1278, the Klooster St. Elisabethsdal obtained permission to move the mill to their location near the Leubeek. Currently, the ruin remains with a hydroelectric turbine for generating electricity.
